Description
After the war, the first places to be rebuilt were on the west side of the river. As the new governmental system was put into place, and repairs moved more quickly, the east side housing was developed. The East Side Village exemplifies the higher standard of Phanes bay living. The residencies in the area are allocated for Humans only, and the homes in the area are reserved for Human families first. The average house has about 2,000 square feet of space, and homes come fully furnished, although they can be modified to suit the incoming family. Apartment-style housing is available to single humans. The apartments have an average area of about 1,000 square feet, and all apartment buildings are urged to put men and women in alternating rooms or close proximity to encourage matchmaking. Since most humans have a source of transportation, the village's relative distance from the city center is of minimal concern. The goal of the housing here is to provide a comfortable setting to raise a large family.
